As much as I like to, I know it’s impossible to turn back time. Today, I’m feeling quite nostalgic. So, in effort to turn back the clock, just a little bit, I joined the Disney Movie Club.

 In case you’re asking yourself WHY I feel it necessary to tell the world… I must confess. My son, Alex, is almost 18 years old. With the exception of Pirates of the Caribbean, he hasn’t watched a Disney movie in eons.

When he was growing up, we watched movies together on a regular basis. I can’t tell you how much I miss those days and the movies, themselves.

Alex currently lives with his Dad. I don’t see him as much as I like to, probably because he has more of a social life than his old Mom. But, when I do see him you don’t know how many times I’ve wanted to ask (or even bribe) him to sit down and watch the Brave Little Toaster or Robin Hood with me.

So, I ordered The Fox and the Hound, The Great Mouse Detective and a new copy of Robin Hood. (Now, I can throw away our VHS edition.)

There are tons of great choices, not just oldies.  If you are looking to expand your Disney DVD collection, you might want to take a peek at what the club has to offer.

I love the convenience of shopping online.  It makes impulse buying so much easier, doesn’t it? For under $7, I am the proud owner of three brand new DVDs to add to my collection. The bargain hunter in me thinks that’s a pretty good deal.

Now, all I have to do is figure out a way to get Alex to watch them with me!
