My name is Merry Strong. I’m fortunate enough to be able to work from home, as a freelance writer and blogger.

I’m 46 (yikes!). I live in Michigan with my husband, Jerry. I have a 18 year old son, Alex, who is living on his own.

I have always been an ‘Internet Junkie’, of sorts. Over the years, I have discovered many interesting things, on a wide variety of subjects. So much so, I am often recruited by family members to locate information that they don’t want to take the time to find, themselves.

I am also a writer. Not a famous writer, but a published writer. I’ve had pieces published in regional parenting magazines such as ‘NJ Family’, ‘Big Apple Parent’, ‘Dallas Child’, ‘MetroKids’, ‘Metro Parent’ and ‘Washington FAMILY’.

Hip Mom Tips was created as a means to share some of the interesting information and tips I have run accross, during my travels through Cyberspace.
